28 Week Bumpdate

How far along: 28 weeks (1/10/2013)

Produce Aisle: Approximately the size of a small cabbage (17 in, 2.9 lbs)

Maternity Clothes: I picked up a couple more things at H&M before they close their doors in Rochester (I'm not ready to talk about it...too painful!) I got the striped shirt above, a black dress and a pair of lounge pants on the cheap!

Stretch Marks: Stretch marks are thankfully at a standstill. I'm just so relieved they aren't the purple, deep painful kind. I've heard great things about Mederma Stretch Marks Therapy and am hoping that will help these go away in the end.

Belly Button In or Out: No change. Still a flat innie.

Sleep: I'm using the restroom at least once a night, but other than that sleep doesn't evade me. Apparently my breathing has become quite comical. I guess I make some sort of crazy noise at the end of my exhale. Josh has a great imitation.

Best Moment of the Week: The anticipation of painting the nursery has kept me going in the very cold January weather!

Movement: If I'm sitting, it seems the movement is constant. I'm now to the point where I can physically see my belly moving!

Food Cravings: CLEMENTINES!!! This little fruit has been my staple...eating 3 or 4 a day! I've almost completely eaten my way through one of those crates of clementines you can get at Wegmans.

Gender: Our little man is getting lots of chats from his mama about being a good little boy.

What I miss: Bending over without the feeling of not being able to come back up. The gravitational pull is crazy!

What I'm looking forward to: The nursery still tops this list. We're so blessed to have gifts arriving in the mail and I just love opening each one!

Symptoms: No new symptoms have surfaced other than this belly just continually growing!

Emotions: There are some ups and downs, but everything has been pretty steady lately!

Prayer (we are praying a whole host of things, including scripture, over this pregnancy and our Peanut every day -I thought I would share one from our list each week): We pray that the wisdom to be a godly mother and father would fall upon is in a mighty way in Jesus' name!

27 Week Bumpdate

How far along: 27 weeks (1/3/2013)

Produce Aisle: Approximately the size of a head of cauliflower (16 in & 2.5 lbs)

Maternity Clothes: No new maternity clothing updates. Just a pair of pants that no longer fit! I picked them up from H&M awhile back and thought they would last, but my growing belly is pushing them down. Ugh! I never thought I'd outgrow any of my maternity clothes!

Stretch Mark: They're starting to grow a little more. I guess it's to be expected. I was hoping I was in the very small percentage of women that don't get them!!!

Belly Button In or Out: Still in, but getting really flat!

Sleep: So blessed to still be sleeping without any issues!

Best Moment of the Week: There are two things this week! I passed my glucose test with flying colors!!! And reading to Dayton and him reacting with little kicks. It's the sweetest thing ever! I found this little book online and apparently he loves it! I'm a huge fan of Seuss and his book, Oh, the Places You'll Go! This is a compilation of many of his books and designed to be read to your baby while he or she is cooking.

Movement: D's movements are getting more and more frequent and seem to be in reaction to hearing things or me turning on a light. It just amazes me that he can react to what's happening in the outside world!

Food Cravings: Still no crazy cravings. I was kind of hoping to crave something off the wall like pickles & ice cream!

Gender: Our little buddy has been receiving some of the cutest outfits and even a pair of shoes! I gushed about this little pair of Pumas on Instagram and Facebook, but had to share them here, too!

What I miss: Shaving my legs and putting on boots is getting more and more difficult! Sigh. Life before a belly was much easier!

What I'm looking forward to: Getting the nursery ready and gear purchased!

Symptoms: No new symptoms have surfaced other than this belly just continually growing!

Emotions: This week my emotions have been pretty steady!

Prayer (we are praying a whole host of things, including scripture, over this pregnancy and our Peanut every day -I thought I would share one from our list each week): We pray wisdom and calmness over the staff at the hospital, our midwife and any doctor that might aid in D's delivery.

26 Week Bumpdate

How far along: 26 weeks (12/26/2012)

Weight Gain: In an effort to not stress over my weight, I'm removing this line from my bumpdates. :) At the advise of a good friend, let the doctor tell you when you're gaining too much and enjoy being pregnant. I promise I'm not eating whole pizzas, cartons of ice cream or anything like that!

Produce Aisle: Approximately the size of a cucumber (15 in & 2.2 lbs) Note: the length is now being measured from head-to-toe instead of head-to-rump as in past weeks.

Maternity Clothes: I picked up a few more maternity pieces while in Oklahoma thanks to a Pea in the Pod gift card and great after-Christmas sales! I went ahead and picked up a nursing tank. It's long enough to keep my bump well covered and can be used after Dayton arrives. I also got an orange colorblock sweater and striped knit dress, but couldn't find pictures of those. I'm sure they'll surface in a bumpdate picture soon.

Stretch Mark: The 3 little stretch marks haven't ventured out anymore!

Belly Button In or Out: Still in, but getting really flat!

Sleep: So blessed to still be sleeping without any issues!

Best Moment of the Week: We ordered Dayton's crib! I can't wait for it to arrive!

Movement: Josh got felt a huge kick that kind of freaked him out a little. I told him this was like an alien invasion, now he believes me!

Food Cravings: No major cravings, just yummy holiday foods to satisfy the sweet tooth!

Gender: We think the room color is picked out. We picked up a sample to try out on the wall. Hopefully, we'll have a chance to get that on the walls and make sure we really like it. For your viewing pleasure...here's the color.

Sherwin Williams Melange Green (SW6710)

What I miss: I haven't stopped missing the whole sleeping on my tummy thing, but am still sleeping...so I won't complain.

What I'm looking forward to: Getting the nursery ready!

Symptoms: After 2 days of travel to Oklahoma and a rare sighting of me in heels the following day, I had swollen feet. I promptly laid on the couch with them propped well above my heart! Thankfully, the swelling hasn't really returned. I dread the idea of my feet looking like sausages for a lengthy period of time!

Emotions: If you tuned in to my 25 Week Bumpdate, you know my sweet husband bought me LOTS of tissue for our trip out west in case it didn't go as I had planned in my head. We are on the other side of that trip, and I can proudly say I only used 1 of the 9 tissue packs he purchased!

Prayer (we are praying a whole host of things, including scripture, over this pregnancy and our Peanut every day -I thought I would share one from our list each week): In the case of an emergency, any drug or injection I will be given during this pregnancy we cover with the blood of Jesus.
