Lincoln: 7 Months

You turned 7 months on April 11th. We are loving your sweet & feisty spirit, little boy! The theme of the last month was, "Thank goodness you're cute!" As in, you were not letting Mama sleep. Praying we're on to better days --errr, nights!

Your pictures this month are just the sweetest.

{You just want to be held - all the time}

{"Don't take my elephant."}

Here's what you've been up to this month:
-You want to stand -all the time. Those legs are always so stiff!
-Miss Jannah came to visit all the way from Washington DC. She was so happy to meet you!
-You sat up unassisted for the first time on April 2 and have only had a couple of wobbly tumbles to the ground.
-You lost your title as baby of the family on Daddy's side. We welcomed sweet baby Elsie to the family this month!
-On March 15 you had your first taste of egg yolk and weren't too sure about it! We've tried a few more times, and you're starting to warm up to it.
-You and Mama took a little drive to Canandaigua to meet friends for lunch. You were quite the little ladies man!
-Your first Easter was a hit! We went to Wickham Farms for a fun afternoon with cousins on Saturday. Then on Sunday we went to church, opened Easter baskets and had a full afternoon of egg hunting and family at Grandpa & Nana's house, followed by more fun at Grammie & Grampa's house.
-Nana and Pa came for a whole week to visit at the end of March. You love them so much -and look so much like your Pa!
-Aunt Kiki helped us with our first successful back carry! You loved being able to look over my shoulder at all that was going on around us.
-To celebrate ringing in 7 months, you spent the night in your nursery and only woke up once to eat. Woo hoo!

Here are a few pictures from our fun month:

You sure are one of the best things about our little family. So much joy in the midst of so much busy. Thank you for making us slow down and snuggle every now and then!

Bumpdate: 21 Weeks

I was 21 weeks on Tuesday and am still feeling great!

We are having so much fun chatting with Dax about his new baby brother! He wants to go through all the family members and tell us if they're a boy or girl. Nana and Daddy have been girls a few times now! He is a budding conversationalist with lots of baby/belly questions or comments -especially since his new baby cousin Fletcher arrived on Saturday. He's going to be the best big brother!

Dayton: 9 Months

Sweet boy, you are a loud, head shaking, raspberry blowing, backward crawling babe! You have done so many new and fun things this last month!

We think you're about 20 pounds right now and will update the stats on Friday after your appointment.

Your monthly photos show how truly active you are these days!

{I think we have a future underwear model, don't you?!?}

Here's what you've been up to this month:

-Your 2nd tooth popped through (the lower right) on December 5th. Your little toothy grin makes us so happy.
- We think you're working on the top two teeth now.
-As seen in many of the pictures above, you love to blow raspberries with your mouth. It's never ending and makes us laugh.
-You're constantly making noises -squawking at mama, yelling for daddy to come back, squealing when you see a puppy and then just making happy conversation with yourself and your toys.
-You have been shaking your head back in forth for awhile now, but you seem to do it to be funny and silly now. You also mimic mommy and daddy when we do it.
-First Christmas: you have celebrated Christmas 3 times already (with 1 more this weekend).
1. We first celebrated with daddy's family on December 14th -your Grandpa & Nana, Aunt Becky & Uncle Zach, Aunt Katie, Uncle Tim & Jack, Aunt Chrissy & Uncle Seth and Aunt Anna & Mr. Kevin.
2. Dayton, Mommy & Daddy celebrated Christmas the next day. Your big gift was your Anywhere Chair with your name on it. You were so proud.
3. Oklahoma Christmas! Your first road trip was a long one. We drove 1,200 miles in 2 days to get there. Just like when flying, you were such a good baby! Of course, we kept you entertained with lots of toys, puffs and the iPad! We had a wonderful week with your Nana & Pa, Uncle Rod, Aunt Minda, Graham, Claire and Connor.
- Backwards crawling is now your thing (as of December 29th)! Maybe one of these days you'll figure out how to go forward. You are suddenly so mobile -giving us a run for our money!

Here are a few more pictures of your fun this month!

Dayton: 7 Months

Dayton, you are charming the pants off of everyone you meet! Mommy and Daddy can't handle your cuteness! Thank you for being our sweet, sweet boy! You're getting so big -you look less and less like our little newborn baby. Tear.

Here's a look at what you've been up to this past month:
-You tried so many new foods: banana (both mashed and whole -by far your favorite food, black beans, pears, eggs, pumpkin, acorn squash, sweet potato)
-You went on your first hike in the Finger Lakes
-Went to the pumpkin patch with Mommy and Daddy
-We are still working on your baby sign language skills
-You love for Mommy and Daddy to play peek-a-boo and tickle time -that little belly laugh is infectious
-You're a pro sitter and you play with your little keyboard long enough for mommy to get the dishwasher unloaded
-Toby has piqued your interest -you want to know where he is if you hear him even when eating or nursing
-Kicking your legs on your mattress, the floor, your changing table and against the high chair is your favorite way to make lots of noise

Love you little bunny!

Dayton: 4 Months

This has been a full and packed month! Dayton took his first plane ride to Tulsa and was dedicated. He's growing like a weed and had a great check up with Dr. Davis.

Here are his stats for the month:

Weight: 13 lbs 7.5 oz
Length: 24.5 in
Head Circumference: 41.5 cm

Here's a look at what you've been up to this month:

-You love to have little conversations with mommy and daddy. We practice the alphabet and associating words, all the names of our family members, and silly little phrases.
-Your favorite song is still the honey bunch song. Mama loves to sing this to you in the car in the mornings.
-You had many firsts this month. Your first plane ride. Success! You were the best little baby. Everyone around us couldn't believe how happy you were (and quiet). You found your toes and haven't let go since! You had your first taste of sold food. We are trying out Earth's Best Whole Grain Oatmeal mixed with mama's milk. You love it and squeal for more when it's all gone. Your first successful bumbo time. You weren't wanting much to do with the bumbo seat, but now you are really enjoying it. You play with all your little animal babies and toys on the tray.
-We were so blessed to have Pa dedicate you while we were in Oklahoma! It was such a sweet moment for us all to share. We feel so blessed to have you and believe that by giving you back to God he will do great things with your life!
-You still aren't a fan of tummy time. We are actively working on it though!
-Teething is upon us. You're a trooper, but have had a couple of rough days. It just means extra snuggles for mama.

Here are pictures from this month:

Visiting with Anna and Grayson.

Hanging out by the pool with Aunt Minda and Connor.

The two tinies.

My sweet family after Dayton's Dedication.

Meeting your almost birthday twin (off by 2 days), Caia.

Toes!

So relieved that Daddy survived the Tough Mudder.

Food might as well be cocaine to you. Delish!

Love,
Mama
