Lincoln: 5 Months

Your daddy thinks I'm overdoing it by posting this only 2 days after you turn 5 months old. But look at your mama pulling out a win this month!

We've enjoyed such a mild winter -until TODAY! Thank goodness you have no idea it is 0 degrees outside and just think life is always warm and cozy.

Here are your 5 months pictures, little cutie:

-Well, this mama is in uncharted territory. Your big brother never really had a 4 month sleep regression. Between 4-5 months, you have gone from sleeping 9 hours a night to eating 1-2 times between 9 pm and 6 am. It's a good thing you're cute!
-We keep saying we're going to move you to your nursery, but haven't actually done it. It's really going to happen this month! Fingers crossed.
-You have found your feet, and it's so cute. Yay!
-You are tracking our food from bowl to mouth and want to eat it all!
-You got to try out some whole oat cereal and gobbled it up! After 6 months, we'll start adding in other yummy foods to expand that little palette.
-You are a solid boy! We think you're bordering 16 lbs and will weigh in at the pediatricians at 6 months. Grampa Al calls you the boxer!
-You are ticklish, love to laugh and are just the most good natured little guy.
-You can squeal and talk at such a loud decibel. We can hear you buddy, we promise!
-We finally started giving you real baths this month instead of just a sponge bath! I know buddy, it was high time.

Here are a few pictures of what you've been up to this month:

We can't wait to see all the fun things you'll be doing over the next few months! It's so exciting to watch you grow.

Lincoln: 4 Months

This new year brings a new schedule for our family. Our days begin early and evenings end late, but there's still much fun to be had. Lincoln, you are growing, growing, growing!

Here are your stats this month:
Length - 25.5 inches
Weight - 14 pounds 8 ounces
Head - 16.5 inches

{This is our always happy little guy}

{Our precious boy}

 {Curious little buddy}

{He's always trying to get Moose's ear or tail in his mouth}

{Seriously. Always. Happy.}

Here's what you've been up to this month:
-You met Santa this month! We waited far too long, but you and brother were sweet and pretty happy to see him.
-You took your first road trip out of town...errrr...across the country! We drove 2 days to Oklahoma for Christmas.
-You took your first train ride for the Polar Express with Nana, Pa and all our sweet cousins.
-And one more, you also took your first plane ride with mama on the way back from Christmas and were just the best little snoozy baby! Wow you were quite the busy guy!
-You love for mama to sing Itsy Bitsy Spider during diaper changes.
-While we were in Oklahoma for Christmas we had you dedicated at the new Woodlake Church Bixby campus by Pastor Jamie Austin. It was so fun to have the same pastor who married us dedicate you. We cannot wait to see what the Lord is going to do through you!
-You met our sweet friends the Gundys! We love them so much and couldn't wait to show you off to them.
-You celebrated your first Christmas 3 times! Bills Family Christmas at Nana and Papa's house, Pickney Family Christmas in Oklahoma and Nana and Pa's house and at home with our sweet little family when we got back from Oklahoma. What a blessed little babe!
-We've got a drooler! Teething, lots of bibs to absorb the drool and a little first gnawing. You are still adorable, just a little messy now!

Here are a few more pictures of what you've been up to this month!

Lincoln: 3 Months

I feel like a completely broken record, but these months just keep going by so fast! At the end of month 3 we were in a serious transition phase as a family. I had just gone back to work, Josh started his new job as an auditor with The Bonadio Group and was a week shy of finishing grad school! All wonderful changes, but so much change to manage. That being said, it was a really fun month and 45 days later I'm trying to catch up!

We don't go back to the doctor until 4 months, but I estimate that you weigh 14-14.5 pounds.

How cute can you be???

Here are some things you have been up to this month:
-Mama went back to work half days on November 16 when you were 9 weeks old. You're spending the day with Nana, Dayton and a myriad of other little friends! Daddy drops you and brother off and mama picks you both up. We miss you so much during the day, but you're in the BEST hands.
-You nurse before you leave in the mornings and then you eat 16 - 18 oz while I'm working and then usually eat 2-3 times before bed.
-You go to sleep around 9:00 and get up around 5:45-6:00.
-You've started playing with a couple of toys. We're just waiting for you to start reaching for them!
-You experienced your first Thanksgiving, and it was a first for all of us. We celebrated at your Unca, Aunt Minda, Graham, Claire and Conner's house.
-We're pretty terrible at doing tummy time, but mama spends so much time wearing you (and occasionally daddy) in either the Tula, wrap or ring sling that we know you're working those core muscles.
-You're mama is over the moon for the cute honest company diapers we're using on you. My favorites right now are the plaid and sled dog. They have sled dog pattern diapers. Seriously!
-On December 8, you sat in your Bumbo chair for a few minutes. We're not sure how you felt about it, but you didn't cry!

Here are pictures of what you've been up to this month!

We love you so much little stinker!

Dayton: 11 Months

We were traveling over your 11 month birthday, so this is a little late! We've had a very, very busy month! Wow, your daddy and I just cannot believe how big you are getting. Every day we look at each other and say, "Where did this big boy come from?"

We think you weigh about 22 lbs and will see how much you've grown just after your 1st birthday when we visit Dr. Davis.

How cute are you this month (and every month!)?

Here's what you've been up to this month:

-You used a spoon for the first time on January 30th and are a huge fan. We still do lots of finger foods, but you love to try your best to get food in your mouth with a spoon!
-You have started throwing a ball. This is one of mommy's favorite things to do with you. You have a soft soccer ball you love to throw!
-You have now signed please! It can take a lot of convincing from mommy.
-We noticed that you clapped your hands on February 8th! You were so proud of yourself. Now you're clapping all the time. You've even started clapping at the right moment during your beloved Baby Einstein videos.
-Grandpa Bills taught you how to "ah-choo!" You have the cutest little fake sneeze, complete with you throwing your head back!
-You have started using your new push toy! You can walk behind it on the rug, but on the hardwood it moves too quick and you crawl behind it.
-You are so, so ticklish. Daddy doesn't even have to be tickling you, just wiggling his fingers makes you go into a riot!

Here are more pictures of your sweetness this month!

Daddy and I are so excited to celebrate your 1st birthday in a few weeks. We are incredibly blessed to have you as a part of our family. God knew what he was doing!!!

Dayton: 9 Months

Sweet boy, you are a loud, head shaking, raspberry blowing, backward crawling babe! You have done so many new and fun things this last month!

We think you're about 20 pounds right now and will update the stats on Friday after your appointment.

Your monthly photos show how truly active you are these days!

{I think we have a future underwear model, don't you?!?}

Here's what you've been up to this month:

-Your 2nd tooth popped through (the lower right) on December 5th. Your little toothy grin makes us so happy.
- We think you're working on the top two teeth now.
-As seen in many of the pictures above, you love to blow raspberries with your mouth. It's never ending and makes us laugh.
-You're constantly making noises -squawking at mama, yelling for daddy to come back, squealing when you see a puppy and then just making happy conversation with yourself and your toys.
-You have been shaking your head back in forth for awhile now, but you seem to do it to be funny and silly now. You also mimic mommy and daddy when we do it.
-First Christmas: you have celebrated Christmas 3 times already (with 1 more this weekend).
1. We first celebrated with daddy's family on December 14th -your Grandpa & Nana, Aunt Becky & Uncle Zach, Aunt Katie, Uncle Tim & Jack, Aunt Chrissy & Uncle Seth and Aunt Anna & Mr. Kevin.
2. Dayton, Mommy & Daddy celebrated Christmas the next day. Your big gift was your Anywhere Chair with your name on it. You were so proud.
3. Oklahoma Christmas! Your first road trip was a long one. We drove 1,200 miles in 2 days to get there. Just like when flying, you were such a good baby! Of course, we kept you entertained with lots of toys, puffs and the iPad! We had a wonderful week with your Nana & Pa, Uncle Rod, Aunt Minda, Graham, Claire and Connor.
- Backwards crawling is now your thing (as of December 29th)! Maybe one of these days you'll figure out how to go forward. You are suddenly so mobile -giving us a run for our money!

Here are a few more pictures of your fun this month!
