Easter 2014

A wonderful Easter with such pretty weather! We realized Sunday evening that Dax was running fever & Monday learned that he had a double ear infection. You would never know from these pictures.

So thankful for Christ's sacrifice!

Birthday Sledding!

We woke up to a lot of snow on your birthday! After lunch you got to enjoy it!

Dayton: 12 Months!

Dayton, your Daddy and I are so incredibly proud of the loving, sweet and hilarious little boy you are becoming. Your hair and personality light up the room. Your sense of humor is blooming and we just cannot get over your sweetness. In the last month you have had some fun milestones!

Here’s what you’ve been up to:

-You got your 6^th tooth. This teething thing has been surprisingly painless for mama and daddy. We hardly even know you’re getting a new tooth other than gnawing on toys more frequently.

-Stacking! You’ve been great at destroying things for a while now, but you are starting to stack your blocks. We’ve got a little builder on our hands!

-This major fete has your mama in a tizzy. You can now climb stairs. On March 26^th, you climbed up 3 steps before we even noticed. It may be time for the gate.

-We celebrated your birthday with so many wonderful friends and family at Ellison Park on Saturday, the day before your birthday…more to come on that fun in a separate post.

-Nana and Pa visited from Oklahoma to celebrate you turning one! You love having them around to play!

-It snowed 8-9 inches Saturday night/Sunday morning of your birthday. We got home from church and our awesome neighbors had left their baby sled by the door. You had so much fun being pulled up and down the driveway. We even had a chance to put you in your snowsuit. So much fun for your birthday!

Dayton: 11 Months

We were traveling over your 11 month birthday, so this is a little late! We've had a very, very busy month! Wow, your daddy and I just cannot believe how big you are getting. Every day we look at each other and say, "Where did this big boy come from?"

We think you weigh about 22 lbs and will see how much you've grown just after your 1st birthday when we visit Dr. Davis.

How cute are you this month (and every month!)?

Here's what you've been up to this month:

-You used a spoon for the first time on January 30th and are a huge fan. We still do lots of finger foods, but you love to try your best to get food in your mouth with a spoon!
-You have started throwing a ball. This is one of mommy's favorite things to do with you. You have a soft soccer ball you love to throw!
-You have now signed please! It can take a lot of convincing from mommy.
-We noticed that you clapped your hands on February 8th! You were so proud of yourself. Now you're clapping all the time. You've even started clapping at the right moment during your beloved Baby Einstein videos.
-Grandpa Bills taught you how to "ah-choo!" You have the cutest little fake sneeze, complete with you throwing your head back!
-You have started using your new push toy! You can walk behind it on the rug, but on the hardwood it moves too quick and you crawl behind it.
-You are so, so ticklish. Daddy doesn't even have to be tickling you, just wiggling his fingers makes you go into a riot!

Daddy and I are so excited to celebrate your 1st birthday in a few weeks. We are incredibly blessed to have you as a part of our family. God knew what he was doing!!!

Dayton: 10 Months

BUSY. This is the best way to describe our month with you, Dayton. We are chasing your sweet busyness all over the house.

We think you're right at 20 lbs, but I thought that at 8 months and you only weighed 19 at your 9 month appointment. I'm clearly not good at guessing.

Your 10 month photo shoot was almost hard to capture because you're so active and full of life!

Here's what you've been up to this month:

-First real cold and first sick visit at the pediatrician -of course they go hand in hand. The congestion will not go away.

-You started crawling forward on January 9th and are so crazy proud of yourself. The whole house is now fair game!

-Your Grammie & Grandpa Al were over for a quick hello on January 19th, and you waved goodbye to them. They were so excited and so were we!

-You spent every weekday for a week and a half at the Congdon's house while Nana Jan was visiting family in Virginia. You were so good! I think Miss Jenn and her kids were ready to keep you! It sure warmed your mama's heart that you played so well and were such a good boy. We were blessed to have their help!
