Dayton: One Month

How has a month passed already?!? We're over the moon for our sweet peanut, Dayton!

At 4 weeks you were...

Weight: 9 lbs 3 oz (39th percentile)
Length: 21.5 in (56th percentile)
Head Circumference: 38 cm (51st percentile)

I think that photo shoot lasted just a few seconds too long!

Here's a look at what we've been up to this month:

-You're eating every 2-2 1/2 hours during the day. We had a few latch issues at the beginning, but have sorted that all out now.
-You love taking a bottle -especially from your daddy! We're using the Avent Natural glass bottles. They're supposed to be really great for nursing babies.
-Diaper changes are just a necessary evil. We totally understand you not wanting your goods messed with all the time.
-You sleep between 6 & 7 hours at night in mommy and daddy's room in the pack n play. It's a dream, and your daddy & I know how crazy blessed we are for it! You'll be moving over to your crib within the next week or so. Mommy is both sad and very excited for this big step!
-You love being swaddled and your strong daddy is way better at it! We're currently using both the Halo and SwaddleMe wraps.
-You would rather go around naked than have us change your clothes. It's like you're literally in pain.
-You love to be in anyone's arms and right now we're okay with that!
-The paci & elephant WubbaNub are a favorites.
-Your fists always seem to find their way to your mouth! It's so cute!
-You've found your voice & have started to coo and say "ahhh." I couldn't love it a single bit more! You make these noise when you see mommy and daddy's faces up close.
-We know smiling doesn't have tons of meaning right now, but whether gas or sleep induced we love to see you with a big grin on your face!
-You're zonked in about 5 seconds after the car takes off!
-We're hoping baths are something you grow to love. Right now a bath is definitely not in your top 5. It's all such a shock to your system. If we bathe you right after you nurse we're seeing a difference; you're much more calm.
You love to take walks in the neighborhood in your stroller!

A few (or a lot) of our favorite pictures from the past month.
