Dayton: Two Months

What a fast two months it has been! Dayton is already the bigger cousin to his brand new cousin, Jackson, born exactly two months after.

Here are his stats for the month:

Weight: 10 lb 6 oz
Length: 22 in
Head Circumference: 39 cm

Here's a look at what you've been up to this month:

-You are grinning from ear to ear when we talk with you or come into your gaze. I can't believe how much of a flirt you are with just about everyone! Daddy especially loves your smiles and budding personality.
-Your cooing has exploded. We have the most fun in the early mornings just chatting away with each other.
-You're still eating every 2 - 2 1/2 hours with just an exception or two. We've tried moving those out, but you're just a hungry monkey! You're also skinny so Dr. Davis thinks 2 hours still makes sense.
-We have upped your bottle ounces from 2.5 to 3 when you do take one. Mommy's been pumping like crazy so we have lots of milk frozen for my return to work.
-Tummy time is still a struggle. We are making a concerted effort to keep you on your tummy as much as we can in your waking hours. No need for a flat head!
-You are really loving bath time when you and mommy both get in the tub. We've also started covering you with a warm wash cloth to keep you warm. Now you just get upset when we take you out and you get a little cold.
-When in the car, you hate stoplights and prefer going over 35 mph. We're going to have to be careful to not get a speeding ticket with you in tow.
-You still don't love diaper changes, but once we're done you love hearing mommy & daddy make lots animal noises.
-Daddy has been wearing you in the Bjorn and taking you and Toby for walks. He (Toby) seems to like you better in the carrier than the stroller because he can take up the whole sidewalk.
-Mommy loves hanging out with you. We've been spending lots of time on the front porch and watching the Today Show and Live with Kelly and Michael.
-We're singing lots of songs with you! Twinkle Twinkle, Hush Little Baby, Godspeed (this is what mommy sings to you at night -take a listen if you don't know it!) and The Itsy Bitsy Spider.
-You got to experience Rochester's Lilac Festival with mommy and daddy for mother's day. It was almost too cold, so you didn't actually see anything.

Here are pictures from this month:

You're inside the stroller. We promise!

Great Grandma Bills loving on you.

Mommy's first mother's day.

We love Saturdays -daddy's home in the mornings!

You love your crib!

You're so good at eating out! And that dimple melts my heart every time.

Our first Memorial Day as a family of three.

We are so smitten with you, buddy, and looking forward to making many more memories!

Stephanie
